The Mammography Center, located in Little Silver, NJ, brings the power of fully digital mammography to the region as part of their ongoing efforts to offer the earliest possible detection of breast cancer.
Diagnostic radiology uses various imaging techniques to aid in the diagnosis of disease. X-ray technology is used to help physicians assess certain parts of the body or detect a suspected condition.
Where standard X-rays provide still pictures, fluoroscopy is used to provide pictures that are projected on a TV screen. A contrast medium is given and the radiologist is able to observe the images in real time as they are projected on the screen.
